The art of jewellery adorning the body and the garments,
appears in all the wall-painting (frescoes)
at Acrotiri in Santorini island.
Beads on the forehead and the headdresses,
necklaces of beads or metal sheet cut-outs on the neck,
bracelets, armbands and anklets.
The gold foil cut-outs represent insects (bees or dragonflies),
birds, seashells, ivy leaves, dog-rose flowers, spirals and rosettes.
