You could call me old-fashioned when it comes to drawing…
Is it because of my age (haha!) or is it because, lets face it, drawings are supposed to begin in a piece of paper?
Unfortunately, over the last couple of years, investing in a drawing tablet composed of a tablet and a pen,
is quickly becoming the normal for lots of illustrators, but not my kind of normal! Every Grecian Chic story begins with a pencil drawing!
Every Grecian Chic lady, every Grecian Chic cat, every single little detail is originally a doodle in a piece of paper!
Truth is that it is much more time consuming, I have to make the sketch with a pencil beforehand,
then trace it with a fine black pen and then scan it with a quality scanner in order to transfer it to my computer.
But I do admit, I love the pencil drawings. The imperfection of the lines. And this is what I want to share with you!
That imperfection, those lines that fade away on paper, that you could even call “a style on its own“.

So here comes a small selection of my original pencil drawings
