by geometric motifs in vase painting.
Several horizontal bands mixed with
a number of other decorative motifs
such as the zigzag, the triangle,
the meander & the swastika.
The roots of Classical Greece
lie in the Geometric period
of about ca. 900 to 700 B.C.
